Are you weary and anxious? Does peace always feel elusive?
There is One whose name is the Prince of Peace. He has authority over all and when you couple that with His goodness and perfect wisdom, you have a recipe for rest.
This broken, discordant and selfish world is continually tearing itself apart because it’s filled with sinners. Wearing itself down and winding itself up in a cycle of anxiety and fear and weariness that never ends. Erring as it leans upon man’s wisdom to repair the damage that man’s sin perpetually wages upon the lives of all.
Jesus, the Prince of Peace has come into this chaotic, sin-filled world and He embodies tranquility. It’s who He is. To know Him is to experience the rest we were created to walk in. He tells you today, “Come unto Me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.”
As we set our minds upon Him today and the gift that He is to us, He will keep us in His perfect peace. He has come to be the answer, the full and satisfying payment for our sins, which apart from Him, we could never escape. He has given us His perfect word as a harbor for our minds when the waves of the world threaten to overwhelm us.
Jesus, The Son who was given to be our peace. Receive Him and His peace will be yours today.
